Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Purpose and Scope

At Link Layer Core, our workshop cohorts are strictly capped at 4 to 6 participants to ensure dedicated lab workbench space, individual diagnostic toolkits, and low instructor-to-student ratios. Because places are strictly limited, late cancellations directly affect lab resource planning.

This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which workshop tuition fees, course deposits, and consulting audit fees are refundable or eligible for rescheduling.

2. Workshop Enrollments & Masterclasses

Cancellations with 14 or More Days' Notice

If you provide written notice of cancellation 14 or more calendar days prior to the scheduled workshop commencement date, you are eligible for:

• A 100% full refund of all tuition fees paid, or
• A free, direct transfer of your booking to any available upcoming intake date within 12 months.

Cancellations Between 7 and 13 Days' Notice

If you cancel between 7 and 13 calendar days prior to the course date:

• You are eligible for a 50% refund of the total course fee, OR
• A full credit transfer to a future workshop intake upon payment of a $120 AUD administrative rebooking fee to cover pre-ordered course materials.

Cancellations with Less Than 7 Days' Notice & No-Shows

Cancellations received less than 7 calendar days before the scheduled workshop date, or failure to attend on the day of the course ("no-show"), are non-refundable. At this late stage, instructor time, lab testing equipment, and fresh catering have been committed. You may, however, nominate a colleague or substitute attendee to take your allocated workbench seat at no additional charge.

3. Technical Audits & On-Site Engineering Consultations

• Prior to Site Inspection: You may cancel or reschedule a scheduled site audit up to 5 business days in advance for a full refund.
• Work Already Commenced: Once an on-site physical inspection has occurred or custom single-line load modeling has begun, the initial 50% deposit becomes non-refundable.
• Delivered Engineering Briefs: Completed, finalized engineering briefs and single-line schematics delivered to the client are non-refundable.

4. Non-Refundable Items

The following items are strictly non-refundable:

• Customized micro-soldering consumables or custom-ordered hardware tooling procured specifically for a bespoke client engagement.
• Travel and accommodation expenses incurred by Link Layer Core for approved on-site regional visits outside the standard Gippsland service territory.

5. Rescheduling by Link Layer Core

In the rare event that Link Layer Core must postpone or cancel a workshop session due to severe regional weather events, power outages, instructor illness, or unforeseen emergency, participants will be offered:

• An immediate, full 100% refund of all fees paid, or
• Priority transfer to the next available workshop date of your choice.

6. Refund Request Procedure & Processing Times

To request a refund or reschedule a workshop seat, please submit a written request via email to hello@link-layercore.click including your full name, original invoice number, and course details.

• Review Time: Refund requests are acknowledged and reviewed within 2 business days.
• Payment Method: Approved refunds are returned via original electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the bank account from which payment was received.
• Settlement Time: Funds typically appear in your account within 3 to 5 business days following approval.

7. Consumer Guarantees

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or restrict any statutory consumer rights you may have under Australian legislation.
