Practical Hardware Education Grounded in Physics

Link Layer Core was established to bridge the gap between abstract computer science and the physical, high-power reality of operating cryptocurrency mining hardware in Australian climatic conditions.

Company History

Established in 2021 in Cowwarr, Victoria

Registered under the official business name Link Layer Core, our organisation was founded in 2021 in Gippsland, Victoria. What began as an informal technical workshop assisting local agricultural landholders with behind-the-meter solar integration quickly expanded into a specialized teaching laboratory.

In the Latrobe Valley and wider Gippsland region, heavy industrial electrical knowledge and agricultural mechanical ingenuity run deep. We applied these exact engineering disciplines—fluid dynamics, heat exchanger plumbing, continuous electrical load derating, and component-level soldering—to the operational challenges of modern proof-of-work hardware.

Today, Link Layer Core welcomes students from across Victoria, New South Wales, and beyond to our teaching facility at 19 Victoria Street, Cowwarr VIC 3858.

Our Teaching Commitments

Core Educational Standards

Every workshop, audit, and consultation at Link Layer Core is governed by three fundamental principles.

Physical Bench Experience

We believe true mastery requires holding the screwdrivers, applying thermal paste, testing voltage drops across busbars, and measuring acoustic frequencies with calibrated meters. Theory is always paired with physical execution.

Australian Electrical Rigor

We adhere strictly to AS/NZS 3000 electrical wiring rules, continuous load safety factors, and Victoria's energy safety framework. We equip our students to communicate clearly and professionally with licensed electrical contractors.

Zero Hype & Honest Engineering

We do not sell tokens, financial get-rich schemes, or retail hardware markups. We are educators and engineers committed to honest numbers, realistic thermal limits, and responsible rural energy usage.
